Canonical policy

Harborline Fieldbook Privacy Policy

The same policy is bundled in the app and published at both privacy routes.

1. Responsible Entity, App, Scope, and Effective Date

This Privacy Policy applies to Harborline Fieldbook for Android, published for GLOBAL HEALTH AND RELIEF INITIATIVE INC. It is effective August 3, 2026. It covers the installed offline app only and does not govern external websites, publishers, or services named as sources.

2. Intended Audience and Facilitation Boundary

The app is intended for adults, volunteers, supporters, educators, and authorized facilitators exploring responsible health-relief preparedness. It is not designed for children to use independently. If an adult uses the material with a young person, the adult is responsible for appropriate supervision, consent, accessibility, and safeguarding.

3. Purpose and Main Functions

Harborline Fieldbook provides offline educational cards, a readiness checklist, preset reflection tags, source notes, safety boundaries, and reading-progress controls. It does not register participants, coordinate aid, determine eligibility, accept donations, deliver professional training, or operate an emergency service.

4. Data Collected, Transmitted, and Not Collected

The app does not transmit personal data and has no Internet permission. It does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, photographs, audio, contacts, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, health information, payment information, or usage telemetry. The app stores only local interaction state described below.

5. On-Device Preferences and Session State

Reviewed-card identifiers, completed readiness-step identifiers, and selected reflection-tag identifiers are stored in app-private preferences on the device. These values are simple content-state markers and are not sent to the organization, a developer, or any third party.

6. Sensitive Records, Youth Records, and Free Text

The app has no free-text field and is not designed to hold patient records, medical details, beneficiary files, incident reports, child records, case notes, precise locations, photographs, or information about vulnerable people. Users should not attempt to encode sensitive information in progress selections or device screenshots.

7. Permissions

Harborline Fieldbook requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, notification, Bluetooth, nearby-device, health, or storage permission. Android may add an internal signature-level permission for framework component isolation; that permission is not requested from the user and does not expose personal data.

8. Accounts, Login, and Account Deletion

The app does not create or use accounts, login credentials, profiles, memberships, or cloud identities. Account deletion is therefore not applicable. Local interaction state can be erased from the Privacy Centre or by uninstalling the app.

9. Ads, Analytics, Tracking, Attribution, and SDKs

The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, attribution, crash-reporting, social, remote-configuration, or marketing SDK. It does not create cross-app profiles, measure advertising, fingerprint devices, or use data for targeted advertising.

10. Sharing, Disclosure, Sale, and Third Parties

Because the app does not transmit its local state, the publisher does not sell, rent, share, or disclose that state to third parties through the app. Source publishers are cited for educational context; they do not receive app data and are not represented as sponsors or endorsers.

11. External Links, Contact, Export, and Network Behavior

Source URLs and the public contact are displayed as non-interactive reference text. The app does not open a browser, send email, export files, upload content, or make network requests. Any later network, contact, or export feature would require a new behavior review and corresponding policy update before release.

12. Retention

Local reviewed-card, checklist, and reflection-tag state remains on the device until the user resets it, clears the app data, or uninstalls the app. The publisher cannot view, recover, or remotely retain this state.

13. Deletion, Backup, Restore, and Device Transfer

The Privacy Centre provides a reset control for all local interaction state. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for the app, and the data-extraction rules exclude app files and preferences. Uninstalling the app also removes its local state, subject to the operating system's normal behavior.

14. Security Measures and Limits

Local state is kept in the Android app sandbox and is not transmitted by the app. Device security, operating-system integrity, screen locks, malware, screenshots, and physical access remain outside the publisher's control. Users should keep the device updated and should never use the app to store sensitive information.

15. Children, Families, and Safeguarding

The app does not offer child profiles, chat, public posting, attendance, location sharing, targeted advertising, or unrestricted adult-minor communication. It is not directed to children for independent use. Adults who adapt a learning activity for youth must follow applicable safeguarding procedures, guardian requirements, age-appropriate assent, and organizational rules.

16. Health, Humanitarian, Safety, and Professional Advice

Harborline Fieldbook is general educational content. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, psychological care, clinical training, triage, water-safety certification, security guidance, emergency dispatch, crisis response, or a substitute for qualified local professionals and authorities. In an urgent situation, contact the appropriate local emergency or professional service; the app is not monitored.

17. Policy Changes and User Choices

Material changes to app behavior or this policy will require an updated app release and an updated public policy with a new effective date. Users may choose whether to mark cards, complete checklist steps, or select reflection tags, and may reset all local state at any time.

18. Privacy Contact

Questions about this policy may be sent by mail to GLOBAL HEALTH AND RELIEF INITIATIVE INC, 108 Champion Drive, Carrollton, GA 30116-6071, United States. Do not include patient, beneficiary, child, incident, health, security, or precise-location information in privacy correspondence.
